The sun is shining (at least in Maine) and another day dawns on the battlefield. Do you feel strong enough to face your mailbox? Does the date on the calendar send a tickle of fear down your back?
While we wait to see what this day brings, let's review the carnage to-date.
First up is a picture of the lovely - yet oh, so deadly - socks sent by Esta to Shannon D.
Our embellishment champion from BOTS I has outdone herself once again. Take a close look at those beautiful socks. The top features Esta's signature bells and beads dot the last round of bicycles.
As if that wasn't luxurious enough, Esta softened the deadly blow with a little sweet:

Very sad news to report. Caitlin, the ultimate winner of The Battle of the Soxes I was killed yesterday by Mindy of ME. Caitlin, you are a noble warrior and defended your title proudly. May you rest in peace.

But, perhaps the most shocking death was that of Leah. Sandra took her out. The scene was so gruesome that the CIS team was unwilling to send any photos. Instead, they submitted this re-enactment (note - the socks are not from this battle):
