Today's inspiration comes from one of our favorite designers - Amy King of Spunky Eclectic. She has a great new pattern in the latest issue of knitty.com -the Tappan Zee - that's right, the NEW knitty is up!
Amy used her own handspun as the starting point for this cute and sexy summer cardi.
As Amy notes in the pattern, this little sweater is a great extra layer over a long sleeved shirt during the spring and fall, but would be perfect paired with a summer cami when it gets warm.
Even though she used handspun, Amy recommended Elsebeth Lavold's Silky Wool as a commercial substitute. I'm thinking that Hempathy would really make it a warm weather piece, and I love the way Hempathy looks in a lace pattern.
