So Excited

This has been a crazy exciting day. We are in the process of restocking yarns after the holiday rush. That means it is also a time when I get to bring in some new things for all of us to try. And those new things are coming now!

UPS brought us new Spud and Chloe as well as new colors in Blue Sky Alpacas

Check out the Spud and Chloe Outer above. We LOVE this yarn, as do many of you since we can't seem to keep it in stock. It is back, with new colors added to the mix, and new patterns.

There are also new patterns in Sweater and FIne.

Blue Sky Alpacas introduced their first variegated yarns with their Cotton Multi. So, of course we had to get it, along with a healthy restock of the Organic Cotton and solid Dyed Cotton.

Notice the close-up on the Multis? They are so purty. I snagged a couple skeins of the blueish one to make this baby kimono sweater.

Isn't adorable? It is just one of many new patterns from Blue Sky Alpacas. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of them all -or the new ones from Spud and Chloe for that matter, but I will, promise!

I know. You are probably thinking, what happened to the Roo Designs sweater she was going to make? Like any good knitter, I am easily tempted by new yarns. I couldn't resist the new cotton.

BUT... the Roo Designs are not forgotten. I have a plan!

You see, the other exciting thing to happen is that UPS tracking told me we have over 100lbs of yarn arriving tomorrow. That's right. 100lbs. And it is all new stuff. That is the stuff I will use to make one of the Roo Designs. I think I am going with the bunny sweater first.

Monique helped me decide. She has made a few of the Roo sweaters and sent me pictures.

Easter sweater(edit)

Look at her granddaughters in those bunny sweaters! I HAVE to make that.

She also has made the flowers and the little truck:

Thanks for sharing, Monique!

I also got a happy surprise today with the arrival of a cozy shop sample from Cascade.

This is the Magnum Women's Jacket - a free pattern from Cascade. It only takes 4-5 balls of Magnum and is knit on US 15 so you can have a new sweater in a weekend!

We had another version on loan from our wonderful sales rep, but this one is ours to keep and it just happens to be MY size.

Yup. I am totally keeping this for myself when its tour of duty at the shop is up. It is super cozy awesome.
