Announcing our first Learn to Spindle Class! Many of you have been asking for a spinning class - including Becka who received the most lovely spindle as a gift from her wonderful sister.

Luckily, it didn't take a lot of work to convince Amy King to teach a class on spindles for us. (She has turned fiber enabling into an art form. You should see my stash, and I've only been spinning since November.) This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from one of the best. In fact, she has a book on spinning coming out through Interweave Press in March of 2009. Congrats Amy!!
Details:
There are 8 spots in the class, but 3 have already been taken. I recommend signing up soon if you are interested.
Date: Wed. June 18, 6:30-8:30pm
Cost: $35 per person, plus a $12 materials fee. The materials fee covers the cost of 6 ounces of fiber, selected specifically for the class. Amy will have you trying a number of different fiber types to see how each one feels and reacts to the spindle.
Spindles will be available to borrow for the class, or for purchase.
