Dear Diary

Last night it snowed while I knitted with friends. Because of the messy roads, not everyone could make it. We've been a little frustrated with the continuing pattern of snow on Thursday nights, so Becka suggested that we make an offering of sacrificial lambswool on the altar of the highest snowbank to the knitty deity.

It couldn't hurt.

But, the evening was lovely nonetheless (especially so because Wendy joined us!) and we may just have to schedule some make-up sessions for all those from away.

Today the boys and I played in the snow for a bit. Connor and I built a castle. Two walls are up and we're discussing design options for the other sides.

I played with fiber.

After reading a few tips on spinning and caring for your homespun yarn, I set the twist on one skein.

Skeined up another that may be plied with the original batch from the same dye lot.

Spun quite a bit more in natural white.

I plan to ply this in the next few days, but first need to make my own lazy kate, unless Bec lets me borrow hers (hint, hint).

The boys are gathering for pizza and movie night. Perfect time to pick up the knitting.

All in all, a very good day.
