Saturday night, the Knitting Experience gang gathered at Sandy's house for incredible food and great times. Thank you Sandy!!

Even Sandy's husband, Sam, caught the knitterly holiday spirit. He spent the day preparing a mouth watering roast for the event and had the good humor to wear the perfect t-shirt for our crowd.

We did a yankee swap again this year, but I was rather surprised to see everyone hold back on the swapping. Granted, ALL the gifts were fabulous. Yet, there is something about the thrill of the swap.
Or maybe this is me trying to rationalize taking such a great gift from Marcia. I was the first to swap, and I did feel a little bad about it, but not bad enough to pass up this gorgeous bag handmade by Bridget:

(Sorry Marcia!)
There were many handmade gifts in the room. Patti took home these snowflakes crafted by Anna's mother. (Hi Anna's mom! We miss you!)

Mindy was lucky enough to get one of Mary Ellen's mini-sweater ornaments.

Sandy scored these fingerless mitts knit by Marcia.

The hand model is actually Liz, who originally got the mitts. Thanks to my breaking the swapping ice, Sandy - lucky enough to get #1 - had her pick of the loot and decided these were just her size.
Hope your holidays are off to a joyous start as well. I'm furiously trying to finish up some last minute Christmas knitting. Not exactly sure what I was thinking when I decided I had enough time to cast on for another gift yesterday. AAAGGHHH!
