44 knitters ready to do battle!

Including Wendy who just finished her Rogue. ( I know this has nothing to do with the Battle of the Soxes, but I am tremendously proud of her - yay Wendy!!)

Rogue - unblocked
Peter and I spent last night getting all the enlisted battlers into the computer.  He set up his fancy computer program thing  to make random assignments, pushed the button and 44 assassins were created.

In the next 48 hours we will be sending out assignments and critical Battle of the Soxes information to the email address you provided.  Since we want to share the fun with everyone, I'll be posting regular updates on the blog, so check in with us here as well.

For instance, this is not something that I would send in an email.  The Maine players are proposing a kick-off party for Friday night at The Sea Dog in Topsham.  Players and supporters are all welcome.  I believe the idea is to gather for dinner and drinks around 8pm, knit until 11:59pm to keep the fingers limber, then grab the pattern and start the hunt.  If you are interested in joining us, let me know so I can get a rough head count.  (We want to give the poor people at The Sea Dog a little advance warning that a bunch of bloodthirsty knitters are heading their way.)
Bridget has alerted me to the possibility that there may be snow/sleet/general unpleasantness on Friday night.  If that is the case, perhaps we switch the party to Saturday evening and cheer each other on. Maybe there will be a "delivery" across the table...

Get ready knitters, the fun is about to begin.
